What are the most popular used cars for Korean drivers?
The Hyundai Avante and Mini Countryman are the most popular used cars among Korean drivers, according to a survey.
On the 3rd, used car trading platform KB Chachacha announced the results of analysing data from May last year to April this year for used cars priced between 10 million won and 15 million won.
The most viewed domestic car was Hyundai’s Avante. It was followed by the Kia Ray, Hyundai Starex, Renault Kia SM6, and Hyundai Sonata. The Avante is Hyundai’s flagship product and is popular for its fuel efficiency and low maintenance.
In the same price range, the most viewed imported car is the Mini Countryman. The Volkswagen Tiguan, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Honda Accord, and Audi A5 were also highly viewed.
The Kia Carnival was the most viewed domestic car between 15 million won and 20 million won. It was followed by the Kia K7, Hyundai Tucson, Hyundai Genesis안전놀이터, and Kia K3. The Carnival is favoured by those in their 40s for its spacious interior, which is ideal for families and leisure activities such as camping.
The BMW 5 Series topped the list of imported cars in the same price range, followed by the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6, and BMW 1 Series.
“Domestic used cars in the early to mid-$10 million range are favoured by economical models that focus on price/performance, while used cars in the late-$10 million range are mainly popular for their interior space,” KB analysed. “In the case of imported cars, vehicles with distinct characteristics of each brand are popular in the early to mid-$10 million range, while the second half of the range is characterised by a preference for sedan models centred on BMW.”
