The feast of the ‘11,000 people’ gathering field, full of things to see and enjoy
The spring golf party was hot. With the temperature approaching 30 degrees and the breathing of about 11,000 people, the perceived temperature felt higher.
This is the second round of the Korea Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) Korean Tour NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship held at the Suwon Country Club (par 72) in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do on the 13th.
Suwon Country Club is located in the city center, so it is easily accessible. It is possible to enter on foot from the surrounding housing complex, and it is also convenient to use a car because it is close to the highway. Giheung Station on the Bundang Suwon Line is also right in front of the golf course.
Lee Byeong-bok, a 50-year-old from Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, said, “I visit this tournament every year without skipping it. The course is not too steep, so it’s the best golf course for walking as an exercise.” said.
On this day, 11,903 galleries visited the venue. This is a similar number to last year’s 11,362. However, as many people flocked to the newly renovated Gallery Plaza, the appearance became richer.
The organizers meticulously prepared for the gallery two months in advance. In particular, in celebration of the 15th anniversary, gallery facilities, services, and events were greatly expanded.
NH Investment & Securities publicity booth sold official golf goods such as autographed hats, bucket hats, gloves, umbrellas and pouches, and held fan signing events for affiliated players and various giveaway events. In the Kids Zone안전놀이터, various events such as trampolines and putting games were held.
Food trucks such as chicken, pizza, steak, and hot dogs prepared plenty of food, and a ‘snack bunker’ was prepared for the first time in a domestic competition on the green of hole 18.
A head of the family who visited the event site in Gangseo-gu, Seoul as a ‘family outing’ laughed happily, saying, “It was good because there were many things to see and enjoy, and I enjoyed the feeling of being on a picnic while sharing snacks with the children in the shade.”
The game ended with Lee Ye-won, who recorded a total of 11 under par and 133 strokes, tied for the lead with Lim Jin-hee. Lee Ye-won took a second chance after the Lotte Rent-a-Car Women’s Open in April.
There were also two hole-in-ones.
In the second year of the tour, Ko Ji-woo caught a hole-in-one on the 16th hole (par 3) and received a Mercedes EQ E300 worth about 93 million won as an injury.
Park Ji-young recorded her hole-in-one on the 3rd hole (par 3) with 172 yards. The prize is a diamond (1 carat) worth 10 million won provided by Shindonga Golf.
