Gabon’s Aubameyang completes personal agreement with Marseille as he moves closer to France

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (34), a Chelsea (England) outcast, is likely to leave for Marseille (France).

“Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Marseille and negotiations are progressing rapidly,” French media outlet Foot 01 reported on Sunday (local time).

European soccer transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano added: “Marseille and Aubameyang have agreed a three-year contract. He is open to new experiences with Marseille’s project on the French stage,” he said on his social media accounts.스포츠토토

Aubameyang was expected to leave the club this summer. He joined Chelsea from Barcelona (Spain) last summer, but his time at the Blues was marked by a terrible run of form that left him on the sidelines. His form in the English Premier League (EPL) was dreadful, with just one goal in 15 games.

Aubameyang, who has one year left on his current contract at Chelsea, was linked to several clubs in the Saudi Pro League. However, a move to France has emerged as Marseille coach Marcelino Garcia Toral, 58, wants him. Marseille are in need of a striker to replace Alexis Sanchez, 35, who was their leading scorer last season. Therefore, they are focusing on bringing in Aubameyang.

Aubameyang’s transfer fee is estimated to be around 6 million euros (about 8.5 billion won). However, according to French outlet L’Equipe, Chelsea are also considering letting him go for no fee.

Chelsea has been undergoing a major reorganization this summer, selling off unnecessary resources within the team. They are now closing in on Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, 22, and a personal agreement is reportedly in place. However, the deal has hit a snag with Brighton demanding a transfer fee of around £100 million ($167 million).
