Commentator Han Yu-mi appointed as new coach for ‘Cesar’ women’s volleyball team
The Korean Volleyball Association announced on the 5th that it held the 6th board meeting in 2023 and appointed Han Yu-mi (41)안전놀이터, KBS N Sports commentator, as the women’s volleyball team coach.
New coach Han Yu-mi played an active role as a player representing women’s volleyball, such as the silver medal at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games and the semifinals at the 2012 London Olympics. Following her retirement in 2018, she took up the microphone as a commentator.
Coach Han Yu-mi plans to join the national team training scheduled from next month and assist coach Cesar.
Coach Han leads the national team to the 2023 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship, the 2024 Paris Olympic Qualifiers, and the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, including the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Volleyball Nations League (VNL) starting on May 30.
