“Are you going to say no again? I’ll pay you more money!” EPL’s only 0-0 ‘relegation team captain’ prepares new offer
West Ham United are preparing a new offer for James Ward-Prowse after having their £30 million bid rejected.
British media outlet The Athletic reported on Feb. 2 (ET) that an offer of £27 million plus a £3 million bonus was rejected by the Championship club, who want more. West Ham are considering a fresh approach after the offer was rejected.먹튀검증
The league wasn’t easy for West Ham last season. After languishing in the relegation zone until midway through the season, the Hammers started to pick up their form towards the end of the campaign. The Hammers continued their upward trend, catching Manchester United in the second half of the season, and even won the Europa League, beating Fiorentina to qualify for the Europa League.
For West Ham, the summer transfer window was a tearful one. When news of captain Declan Rice’s departure became a reality, the Hammers had to find a replacement. They had plenty of money to spend, as Rice left for Arsenal in a £150 million deal.
The Hammers are the only Premier League team not to sign a player this summer, leaving David Moyes struggling to find a replacement.
However, there is a conflict between Moyes and the club’s technical director, Tim Steiten. Moyes wants players with Premier League experience and is rejecting Steiten’s picks.
Ward-Prowse is keen to leave Southampton after relegation, and Moyes has fallen in love with his skills as a ‘set-piece master’. West Ham, however, do not believe the older Ward-Prowse has any resale value and are concerned about his high weekly wages.
